Clever bird knows how to open up the latch on his cage, so now he’s permanently locked in. Poor bird.

Yes, way too smart sometimes. Our parrot also does the same thing – he knows how to open the latch on the doors. So I tied down the doors with those metallic twisties (the ones that seal the bread bags?)

Yes, they’re very intelligent. It worked for me … maybe he didn’t see the ties, which I had tied at the bottom of the doors, so he didn’t get a chance to chew on it.
Out of sight, out of mind. Working on toddlers since mom could hide the bubbles bottle. I guess this works on parrots now too.
