Even birds play with the incoming waves ….
I saw these birds again, and had to watch them to figure out what they were doing.
They face the incoming waves, lifting their long thin legs daintily to pick their way through the water …
As the waves come crashing in, they briefly pause, maybe flinch a little, then continue on …
Then they turn around and walk towards dry land, away from the water …
… and turn around and walk towards the water again as the waves recede …
Maybe they were looking for fish, in case any washed ashore with the waves. But I didn’t see any fish being caught. And why would they walk away from water, if they were looking for fish in the waves?
Something to figure out, while I’m still here.
