On the flight to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic a couple of weeks ago, we were suddenly flying into big clouds. And they were huge.
As we came out of another huge, wispy, fluffy cloud, I saw this … there, on the right, just in front of the huge climbing cloud … Is that the ‘calm before the storm’? 
I was struck at how smooth and calm-looking it was, compared to the huge fluffs that we’d been flying through (and was about to fly through again). It was a calm lake in the middle of the cloudy landscape, an oasis in the storm.
I took one last look at it before we entered the huge fluffs again … Yep, the calm before the storm …
