After a day and a half of flying, finally arrived in Kathmandu. Shant and Rabindra met me inside, and took care of all the paperwork.

Outside, the big white jeep with ‘UN’ on the sides met us. I had forgotten about these UN vehicles – felt conscious seating in it, and felt that everybody could see us from a mile away. But it was okay – everybody seemed to ignore it, and just passed around us.
