This building would always catch my eye as we drive past it on the highway.
I was always too busy staring at the towers and wondering what it was to find out what it was. Sitting on the bus in traffic recently, I looked for any signs to clue me in, and was delighted to find out that it was a library!
I think it is so appropriate that this is a library. I’m already imagining what it would be like inside, and how it’s decorated. I mean, it’s got towers and it’s on the edge of a cliff, right? So inside must be some sort of medieval set-up maybe? I don’t know, never been there, and I’ll have to make that special trip to have a look outside.
But just seeing it from the outside fires up my imagination of all the story books inside to browse and read, and I hope that it does the same for the kids.
Wow, nice “antique” looking building, where is this located???
It’s in Weehawken, NJ.
Wow, I want to go there if it’s a library. It looks like an old castle.
Yes, on the outside. Don’t know what it looks like inside, but hope that it’s set up as a castle inside as well.
I’m picturing red Persian rugs, comfy chairs next to the windows and lots of cozy study nooks inside. Wish my local library looked like this! I think I’d like to live in your library. 😉
LOL! nice picture! I was thinking of thick Persian rugs with lots of floor pillows or cushions, where I could lounge with all the books around me! I don’t live in this town, but I agree – I’d like to live in that library too!
