Look what I got !
A quill pen, from a colleague! Well, more like synthetic quill, but anyway … She knows I can’t resist pens, journals, stationery, so when she saw this on her trip to the NY Public Library, she got it for me right away. (Note that my purple and pink pens of the day have been pushed aside already).
I need to find a stand for it, I think it’ll look nice on top of my desk. It’s a ball point pen at the end, and you can write with it. The barrel is a little too thin for me, and I feel that the pen is a little top-heavy with the quill, but it’s good for the quick notes. Maybe I’ll take it to one of the meetings and wave it around.
Can’t wait to use this, but I’m also thinking which of my journals I should pair this with. Yes, another one of my collections … journals. See? And each journal has a pen assigned to it. But that’s a whole other post.
In the meantime, I’m signing off with a flourish using my quill pen.
This post made me smile, I love that each journal has an assigned pen! What a nice thought from your coworker to get you a pen. 🙂
Your comment made me smile to start off the day 🙂 Yes, she knows me too well.
Hi again, just wanted you to know that I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. I’ve really enjoyed “meeting” you on the blogosphere and reading your posts! See my post on this award for next steps. Enjoy!
Oh my! Truly honoured, and much appreciated! I enjoy your blog as well. Thank you so much!
I’m a sucker for pens and journals! Love the circle doodles journal!
LOL ! you too? I have them in different rooms of the house … like the yarn …
A couple of months ago, I saw a feathered pen for ink at a store. Had to buy it and the bottle of ink! Took out my fountain pen a couple of days ago just to doodle! Ah, don’t get me started on the wonder of pen and paper! 😎
