What does one do when unexpectedly faced with a free weekend because soccer games were cancelled and no errands to run? Why, get out and clean the backyard deck, of course! It hadn’t been maintained for a couple of years … okay, several years 😦
It was also a hot and humid day – perfect for playing with water 🙂 We borrowed a power washer from a friend, and everybody took a turn with it. There was something soothing about walking the deck from one end to the other, watching the layers of dirt and grime stripped to show the true colour of the wood …
And while it was in use, the others took a break from the hot sun …
And then Tropical Storm Andrea came along …
Now we have to wait a couple of days before we can start the stain and seal stage!
