Two Extra to make a Pair

I finished this set just hours before I wrapped it up for a baby shower.  I had to make two extra booties before I got the same color sequence to make a pair … and the same size.

I don’t make  too many baby booties … I usually have to make three before I can get a pair to match in size, width, etc.  I follow the same pattern, using the same yarn, and yet I come up with two different sizes.  “What are you trying to tell the parents – their baby’s feet have two different sizes?”, asks my boys cheekily.

Now I’ll just have to continue making booties to match the ones that I’ve already done.
