There’s different varieties. Now that I research some more, I think this is a purple coneflower (another daisy variety). Next time I research more on the flower names – otherwise it’s going to be posted as just a color 🙂

Blogs like yours urge me to post my flower pictures. I know yours are far better and more professional-istic than mine but it was worth the try. I like mine as it is.

This is an echinacea flower? No matter… I enjoyed seeing the different phases of the flower and the interesting bugs-eye-view angles– especially the top photo.
